You will only have a few matches to level your players before having to redraft them (presumably after playing each opposing coach exactly once). However, I think that the seasons system should solve most of this. Specifically in the case of a perpetual league, it seems strange to see two identical teams with vastly different TV, just because one coach has been randomizing his team for ages. I was additionally worried about the cost difference between random skills and the same skills when picked. Gee, these shoes were comfortable, why change them? That’s it, I’m rambling and complaining again, like the old man that I am. But the « best » build will soon be found by pros, articles will be written, we’ll copy paste, and not even have to hope for that double, we’ll pay for it. Until the metagame settles and the intricacies of the new system are fully explored. Where’s the fun of diversity? Isn’t Blood Bowl supposed to be the craziness of rolling dice? I doubt paying a few more SPPs and adding 10k to TV will make up for that. What was once rare will become the norm, and all players will develop the same way. Wardancers will have MB standard, and simple Lineman will spam Guard. Blodge will become the vanilla build on players like Orcs and Humans Blitzers, and all DElves Assassins will level up to Multi Block at the first opportunity. But I doubt the game will be more interesting. Secondary skills will become the norm on many builds, and not just a lucky advancement. It will stop being fun the moment you realise everybody is doing the same, and all players are alike. I have finally managed to finish something after all these months, and I am quite happy with how they turned out.Which is a bit ridiculous. I am also going to post updates on him on Instagram, plus I am planning some live videos on him so have a look for them too! He is currently in my workbench getting some paint and he will get his photos once he is finished, so keep your eyes on this spot for more. One big (in the quite literal manner) absence from this group photoshoot is my troll. I built him using bits from the old Goblin kit and adding a wire frame to create the blood bowl helmet. Last, but definitely not least, the Goblin of the team. Of course the backbone of the orc team, the Linemen, couldn’t be absent, so here they are in all their black and yellow glory! Staying to the positionals, the Throwers are straight from the box, although one too many, I painted both to complete the team. Nothing fancy here as you may probably see. Same problem here, I had to build 2 and again my Ork bitz box came in handy. The model is built using all sorts of bits and pieces from the (mostly Warhammer 40K) Ork range, the body of a Nob, the hand of an Ogre, and shoulder pads from Space Marines and a Dreadnought (yes you heard that right :P )īlitzers are a must in any Orc team and I had to include 4 of them. I may eventually build another one whenever I decide to play them again. I have eventually managed to buy one back later on in the league, so I decided to build only one out the initial 2 extras that I had on my roster. Where is the second one you ask? Well, in the very first game that I have played one of them died, and then in my second one I lost another one. So, I have decided to build my own Black Orcs, one of them you can see in the pictures above. I had decided to play with 4 Black orcs and 4 Blitzers, and I had only 2 of each available in the box. I have decided to stick to the original colour scheme, mostly because I love painting yellow (those of you that follow me all these years might have figured it out ) ), but also because I think yellow suits Orcs wonderfully! The ModelsĪs I was building my team, I have stumbled upon a problem that I’m sure most orc players have, the absence of Black Orcs and Blitzers from the basic sprue. 2.1) Blood Bowl Stuff Orcland Raiders Galleryīeing a quite slow painter, I have just managed to finish up my Blood Bowl Orc team, the famous Orcland Raiders.
